Gregory Janelle, CTR
Gregory
Janelle, CTR, is a consultant and a former airline executive with
AirBC (Air Canada Jazz). Educated in business management, he holds
multiple Trained Trainer endorsements from the International Critical
Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF), and is recognized as a Certified
Trauma Responder by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists
(ATSS).
Greg
Janelle has trained thousands of line personnel, management and
Mental Health Professionals from both public and private sector
organizations, and he is presently the CISM Trainer for several
major Airlines as well as for federal Correctional Service of Canada
CISM teams and the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency CISM program.
In addition to his training work, Greg is a frequent and popular
guest speaker at conferences throughout North America and overseas.
Greg's
successful aviation career allowed him to develop as a professional
instructor and senior manager while at the same time pursuing his
long time interest in employee peer support and Critical Incident
Stress Management. As a pioneer in his field, he is credited with
being the motivating force behind the first Aviation CISM program:
the award winning AirBC Critical Incident Response CIRP (1988).
Since then he has been welcomed as a CISM trainer and program builder
by numerous other industries and government agencies.
Based in Vancouver, Canada Greg now provides his full-time professional
services worldwide through the firm Janelle & Associates Consulting
Ltd.
Cristina Cullens, Ph.D.
Cristina
Cullens, Ph.D., is a Public Safety Psychologist, practicing in Denver,
Colorado. In addition to providing trauma interventions, counseling
and CISM for police, fire and emergency medical services, she provides
CISM services for several major Airlines. Dr. Cullens has responded
to numerous airline disasters, earthquakes and other trauma events
during her career.
While
pursuing a professional designation, Cristina worked for many years
as a flight attendant for United Airlines and assisted in the development
and training of anti-hijack procedures for aircrew members. She
is the winner of two prestigious awards for her contributions to
aviation safety and has had the distinction of being an invited
speaker to numerous organizations, including the U.S. Navy, Federal
Bureau of Investigation, the International Association of Employee
Assistance, and the International Association of Police Chiefs.
One
of the first aviation professionals trained in Critical Incident
Stress Management procedures, in 1986, Dr. Cullens was immediately
requested to provide crisis intervention at a major air crash in
California. Since then she has trained hundreds of airline, public
safety and Mental Health Professionals in the psychological aspects
of critical incidents, including debriefing techniques.

Bruce Ramsay, CTR
Bruce
Ramsay, CTR, retired as Deputy Fire Chief from the District of North
Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services after thirty years of experience.
He is now a full-time consultant and trauma counselor, specializing
in CISM for First Nations, Aboriginal and Native Indian communities
and Emergency Services organizations. He is presently the CISM Program
Director for the First Nations’ Emergency Services Society
of British Columbia and is an Approved Trainer with the International
Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).
Bruce
has provided ICISF certified CISM training for police, fire and
ambulance services, as well as victim’s assistance programs,
domestically and internationally. He is very experienced in trauma
intervention for emergency services and industry, and for First
Nations’ responders and communities, and helped form the first
Aboriginal CISM team in the world.
Bruce
Ramsay is also a Thought Field Therapy (TFT) diagnostician and an
authorized trainer in the Callahan Technique. He is a Certified
Traumatologist recognized by the Traumatology Institute of Florida
State University, and is a Certified Trauma Responder with the Association
of Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS).
Among
his many accomplishments, Bruce is a Board Member of the ATSS, the
On-Site Academy, the West Coast Post-Trauma Recovery Center, and
the Canadian Foundation for Trauma Research and Education. An engaging
and popular speaker, he has presented on behalf of the Justice Institute
of BC (trauma instructor), the Yukon Aboriginal Health Program,
and the BC Fire Chiefs Association, among others. In addition, he
has received formal recognition by the ICISF for outstanding contributions
in CISM development.
